Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
The Church has a Great Commission from Jesus Christ, given to us prior to His Ascension into Heaven: “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”
At Holy Family Parish, we strive to provide the teaching of Jesus Christ to all who seek Him. Our Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, or RCIA program, is our ministry for adults who are considering converting to Catholicism. This program offers an opportunity to learn more about the Catholic faith and allows those interested to make an informed decision about their religious identity.
Those who complete the RCIA program are eligible to receive their Sacraments at the Easter Vigil Mass and be received into full communion into the Catholic Church. Anyone who is unbaptized or has been baptized in another Christian denomination may enroll in the RCIA program. Anyone who wants to inquire about joining the Catholic Church are welcome to join the RCIA as a religious instruction program.
Classes are conducted on Wednesday evenings from September until Easter Sunday.
